Investors Bank’ Operations under COVID-19 Restrictions

Investors Bank has announced that it remains committed to serving the banking needs of its customers during this critical time – for however long it lasts, and is making every effort to quell the spread of COVID-19. Most in-branch services at Investors will be conducted by appointment only. Drive-thru operations and ATM service, where available, will continue with amended hours.

“These are unprecedented times,” said Investors Bank Chairman and CEO Kevin Cummings. “Our culture and reputation as a bank that cares has never been more important. Protecting everyone’s health and well-being – our customers, employees, and the extended community – is first and foremost, and we’ve made these changes with that in mind.”

Investors Bank will host in-branch appointments between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays; for branches with Sunday hours, appointments will be available between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Investors will make every effort to service customers locally, although some transactions may be directed to another bank location.

Customers may make an appointment at the Investors Bank appointment page on the Bank’s website, contact their local branch or call the NICE Team at the Client Care Center at 855.422.6548 between 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

“Many of our friends and family members will face financial hardships as businesses need to cut back and even shut down entirely. Investors Bank is here to help. We may be able to assist with fee or payment relief, credit access, or refinancing, and provide customers with some peace of mind through these stressful times,” said Cummings. He directed customers to call the NICE Team at the Client Care Center for assistance.

Cumming said he also had asked Investors’ banking team to “think about their customers and to reach out by phone or email to our elderly customers, and those most at-risk, to check on them and help with their banking needs.”

“We are part of the fabric of the communities we serve,” said Investors Bank President and Chief Operating Officer Domenick Cama. “We encourage our customers to use our online and mobile banking options to access accounts remotely, 24/7. This option enables customers to manage their money quickly, easily, and securely, from their homes. We ask customers to do as much of their banking as possible using these convenient means. We all have an obligation to help protect one another from the spread of COVID-19.”

Customers can download the Investors Bank Mobile App from the Apple Store or Google Play. The app enables customers to check balances, pay bills, and transfer funds to another institution or individual. Customers also can deposit checks directly from their mobile phone.

Cummings noted that all Investors Bank branches and offices are cleaned and sanitized daily, and the Bank has stepped-up the frequency of cleaning to several times per day in order to minimize the risk of transmission and to meet CDC guidelines. Additionally, in accordance with CDC guidance and necessary actions taken by local and state governments, the vast majority of Investors employees have been instructed to work from home and are utilizing an array of technology and collaboration tools to ensure that all bank operations are minimally impacted. The presence of designated employees that remain in Investors’ corporate offices and branch locations is necessary and essential to continued banking operations. These employees are practicing social distancing with restricted in-person meetings and travel.

“Our employees are our greatest resource,” said Cummings. “We are working hard to protect every single one of them.” In addition to efforts to protect the health and well-being of customers and employees, Investors is continuing its diligent oversight to protect the safety and security of all customer accounts and information. There also are important steps customers can take to limit their vulnerability and protect personal information.

“Sadly, we need to warn our customers that unscrupulous individuals may attempt to take advantage of this unprecedented situation,” said Cama. He reminded customers that Investors Bank will not contact customers by phone or email and ask for confidential information including their login credentials such as their user ID and password, their personal identification number (PIN) or additional account information.

“Investors Bank has been in business for over 90 years — through major world-changing events, including, the Great Depression, World War II and 9/11, each with its own significant challenges that as a bank and a nation we overcame,” noted Cummings. “We are here for our customers today, and together we will continue to provide solutions to meet their financial needs and the needs of the communities we serve. The best way for us to get through this is to instill more hope and less panic. Let’s follow directives to stay apart and at home, check on and help each other. We truly are all in this together.”
