DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PPG (NYSE:PPG) today announced that the PPG Foundation invested $20,000 to support Illuminate STEM. The organization encourages, empowers and equips more than 1,000 elementary, middle and high school students from underrepresented communities through industry-relevant science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) training and education. The donation was made on behalf of PPG’s architectural coatings business and the PPG PAINTS™retail stores in Dallas.
Illuminate STEM works to foster innovation in the technology field in higher education and beyond by using the expertise of leading robotics, science and engineering professionals in both instructor and mentor roles. The grant also will enable the nonprofit to serve an additional 500 students.

There are 25 PPG Paints stores in Dallas, and PPG is in the process of opening 16 additional stores. PPG recently presented representatives from Illuminate STEM with the grant at the grand opening of the PPG Paints store in White Rock, Texas.
