Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division to Receive Young Scholars Corporate Partner Award

6/3/20

The Philadelphia Bar Association, the nation’s oldest metropolitan Bar Association, today is pleased to announce that its Young Lawyers Division has been selected by the Philadelphia Young Scholars Charter School (YSCS) as this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Corporate Partner Award. This annual award honors a corporate partner who goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide unique programs and services to Philadelphia’s communities.

“Our young lawyers are being recognized for their superior efforts with Lawyer in the Classroom, a program that brings volunteer lawyers from various backgrounds throughout our city into the classroom to speak with students about a day in the life of a lawyer and the path to becoming a lawyer. We are thrilled YSCS is recognizing our work with this prestigious award. We congratulate all of our volunteer lawyers who participated in the program and have contributed to earning this honor,” said Hillary Ladov, Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

The award will be presented during Young Scholar's 8th grade virtual graduation ceremony on June 17, 2020.

The Philadelphia Bar Association, founded in 1802, is the preeminent metropolitan association of lawyers in the United States. It is a keystone in the ongoing developments of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania legal systems. With more than 200 years of dedicated service to stand on, the Philadelphia Bar Association is firmly rooted in the Philadelphia community as a steady and reliable bellwether.
