Ben duPont
Co-Founder Jim Stewart will Remain Active on Zip Code Wilmington’s ?Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Zip Code Wilmington, a premier nonprofit coding bootcamp, today announced that Ben duPont, the organization’s co-founder and current Board of Directors Vice President, will be appointed as its new Board Chairman, effective January 31, 2020. duPont will succeed Jim Stewart, Zip Code Wilmington co-founder and Board Chairman since Zip Code Wilmington’s 2015 inception. Stewart will remain an active member of the organization’s Board of Directors.
“It is an honor to serve as Zip Code Wilmington’s new Board Chairman as the organization is near and dear to my heart,” said Ben duPont. “Jim Stewart, Porter Schutt and I founded the organization to address the shortage of tech talent that local companies were experiencing in Wilmington. In a mere five years, we’ve built a nationally recognized, award winning organization that is dedicated to re-skilling and up-skilling IT professionals in the most current coding languages and best practices while helping Delaware-based businesses find diverse talent that exceed their expectations.”
“Leading Zip Code Wilmington has been a rewarding experience and I am confident Ben will continue to realize our mutual goals for the future of Zip Code Wilmington, its students and corporate partners, and continue to take the organization to new levels,” commented Jim Stewart. “All good organizations can benefit from periodic new leadership, and Ben is the perfect person for the job. I look forward to continuing to serve on the Board and support Ben’s efforts in the years ahead.”
