Ilana Eisenstein
DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Ilana Eisenstein, a Philadelphia-based partner and co-chair of the Appellate Advocacy practice, has been named to the Legal Intelligencer 2019 list of Unsung Heroes. The award recognizes “attorneys and legal professionals who have gone unnoticed for, or were instrumental behind the scenes in, particularly important work.”
Eisenstein is one of four Unsung Heroes selected from the Philadelphia legal community as a part of the publication’s annual Professional Excellence Awards. Editors noted Eisenstein’s “Supreme Court matter work has been impressive and addresses emerging legal issues businesses grapple with regularly.”
Eisenstein focuses her practice on appellate, complex commercial and white-collar litigation. She has argued five cases in the US Supreme Court, including cases involving novel questions of statutory and constitutional law and procedure, and has been the lead author of dozens of briefs at the merits and certiorari stage in the Supreme Court and in the federal courts of appeals. In her career, she has worked on more than 100 federal cases.
