Marshall Dennehey’s David W. Henry to Discuss Mediation Issues at Upcoming Orange County Bar Association Event

David W. Henry, a shareholder in the Orlando office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, will co-present a mediation seminar for the Orange County Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Orange County Bar Association office in Orlando, Fla. The presentation, titled “White Hat/Black Hat with Gray Matter: Advanced Mediation Advocacy for Plaintiff and Defense Counsel and Their Clients,” will offer attendees a frank discussion about changes in mediation theory and the evolving trends in mediation practice.

This seminar is open to attorneys, claims professionals, mediators and anyone who is involved in mediations. Along with his co-presenters, Mr. Henry will discuss new ways to prepare and conduct mediation, how to maximize recovery or minimize exposure for the client, and critically examine important ethical issues and conflicts arising during the mediation process.

Proceeds from this seminar will go to Elevate Orlando, a civic nonprofit dedicated to equipping and empowering underserved youth to graduate with a plan for the future.

Mr. Henry is a member of the Executive Council of the ADR Section of The Florida Bar and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil and Appellate Mediator. He serves as a civil mediator for business litigation, corporate disputes, construction-related litigation, professional and fiduciary liability, as well as real estate, insurance coverage and personal injury claims. Additionally, he is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, an association of ADR professionals distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution.

Mr. Henry graduated from Emory University and received his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals 11th Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
