ITF is being recognized for the U.S. launch of TIGLUTIK™ (riluzole), the first and only easy-to-swallow thickened riluzole liquid for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Approximately 80 percent of people with ALS develop difficulty swallowing, or dysphagia, because of gradual weakness and paralysis in the muscles of the face and throat. About Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) 

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive, ultimately fatal neurodegenerative disease, marked by a gradual degeneration of nerve cells of the central nervous system that control voluntary muscle movement.i According to the ALS Association and based on U.S. population studies, a little over 5,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year.
