For the sixth consecutive year, Ann’s Choice’s continuing care neighborhood was named a “Best Nursing Home” by U.S. News & World Report.

"This recognition by U.S. News & World Report is a wonderful endorsement of our staff's daily commitment to a providing exceptional person-centered care for residents,” said Executive Director Chris Donati. “Our personalized care plans, holistic perspective, dedicated caregivers and comfortable accommodations reflect a level of individualized service and care that is truly distinctive.”

U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 homes nationwide, in every state and nearly 100 major metropolitan areas. This year, 2,975 nursing homes earned the designation of a U.S. News Best Nursing Home.

Ann’s Choice is one of 7 Erickson Living-managed communities nationwide selected by U.S. News & World Report for this honor. The others are Ashby Ponds (Virginia), Brooksby Village (Massachusetts), Linden Ponds (Massachusetts), Riderwood (Maryland), Tallgrass Creek (Kansas), and Wind Crest (Colorado). Since its inception in 2009, the U.S. News nursing home ratings have relied on data from Nursing Home Compare, a program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes. This year, due to CMS' recent move from a self-reported to a payroll-based nurse staffing reporting and a freeze in health inspection data since November 2017, U.S. News modified the way it uses CMS data for evaluating a nursing home's overall performance.

Ann’s Choice continuing care neighborhood offers personal care, long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and more. In early 2019, Ann’s Choice new continuing care building, Chestnut Pointe, will open. Construction of Chestnut Pointe is part of Ann’s Choice multi-year plan to expand and renovate its existing continuing care residences, along with amenity spaces. When the multi-year project is complete, Ann’s Choice will have a total of 61 assisted living apartment-homes, 44 memory care residences, and 88 skilled nursing residences.
