Joe DeNardo, PNC Bank and Bob's Discount Furniture To Be Honored By The Salvation Army

11/6/18

Major Tom Lyle, Allegheny County Coordinator of The Salvation Army Western PA Division, is pleased to announce that Kelly Frye of WTAE-TV, will be the keynote speaker at the organization's upcoming 2018 Allegheny County Doing the Most Good Dinner. Kelly has an amazing personal story of faith to share, as many in the region have stood beside her through the many difficulties she and her family have shared, overcome, and continue to fight each day.

Local musician Chris Jamison, who rose to national fame as a contestant on The Voice, will be providing the entertainment for the evening. Chris and his family still call Pittsburgh home, but is looking forward to touring and a new album in the near future.

Sponsored by PNC Bank and slated for Wednesday, November 20th at Heinz Field East Club Lounge, this annual event will also honor the late Joe DeNardo with a special Project Bundle-UP Award of distinction; PNC Bank with the Community Service Award; and Bob's Discount Furniture with the Doing The Most Good Award.

Joe Klimcheck, In-house announcer for Pirate baseball, will serve as emcee for the evening.

VIP Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with award winners and other dignitaries during a pre-dinner reception.

The Doing The Most Good Annual Dinner draws nearly 500 people each year to pay tribute to those in the Pittsburgh region who go above and beyond in their support of The Salvation Army. "This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase our programs and services to key community leaders during a very important time of year, and it serves as a kick off to the holiday season," said The Salvation Army's Divisional Commander, Major Raphael Jackson.

Corporate Sponsorships are available for $1,500 per table of eight, and individual tickets may be purchased for $100, or for $150 including access to the VIP reception. Visit wpa.salvationarmy.org for more information or to purchase tickets, or call Fran Brace, Director of Development at 412.446.1646.

Both a church and a social service organization, The Salvation Army began in London, England in 1865. Today, it provides critical services in 128 countries worldwide.
