‘We’re Looking To Take Over Europe’: Slyce To Open Paris Office

Visual search company Slyce will set up a three-person office in Paris as part of its selection to the retail-focused Lafayette Plug and Play accelerator.

Slyce beat out 213 other applicants to land one of 17 spots in the program, which is a sister accelerator to the Bay Area’s Plug and Play Ventures, which Slyce was a part of in 2017.

“That was a really great experience,” Slyce CEO Ted Mann said. “It helped us get T.J.Maxx as a client and brought in $200,000 in non-diluted capital.”

Now, as part of its selection to the European program, three Slyce staffers will spend three months working out of Paris and getting introductions to about 40 major retailers. Once that initial period is out, Mann said, the company will evaluate extending its presence in France.
