Smith Brothers Takes On Sweet Assignment From Spangler Candy

Spangler Candy Company, Bryan, Ohio has named Smith Brothers Agency as it’s first agency of record, according to Michael Bollinger, president of the marketing agency.

Working with Spangler Candy’s Director, Marketing, Evan Brock, Smith Brothers will begin developing research and creating a brand building campaign for the Dum-Dums lollipop brand, according to Bollinger.

Brock commented on the choice of Smith Brothers, “ We were looking for an agency, a marketing partner, that would align with our values. We’re a family company and Smith Brothers brought shared values coupled with the creativity to help us accelerate our growth.“

The Spangler Candy Company is led by Chairman and CEO Kirkland B. Vashaw, a 4th generation Spangler family member. The company is 112 years old and it’s Dum-Dums lollipop brand is recognized by generations of families and is the #1 lollipop brand in the US.
