Wohlsen Adds Phil Kowalchuk and Bill Sahwell to Delaware Valley Team

Wohlsen Construction Company is pleased to announce the addition of two project executives, a project manager, and a business development manager to the Delaware Valley team.  These construction professionals provide both operational and business development leadership, bringing valuable talent to projects, both in-progress and recently awarded, as well as managing client relationships.

Phil Kowalchuk joins Wohlsen as project executive for Delaware State University’s new residence hall and dining facility. With over 30 years in the industry, Kowalchuk has worked on many notable projects on the east coast, ranging in value from $3 million to over $650 million.  He is graduate of Lehigh University with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.  Kowalchuk, lives in Glenmoore, PA with his wife, Linda.

Bill Sahwell will serve as project executive on several projects, including Capital One Renovations in Wilmington, DE, and Kaplan All-American Assisted Living in Washington Township, NJ. Sahwell, with 35 years construction experience, has worked on projects for corporate, healthcare, higher education, pharmaceutical, and government clients up to $360 million in value. He earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a MS degree in Engineering Management from Drexel University. Sahwell currently resides in North Wales, PA with his wife, Silvia, and children.

John Cyrus continues his decade-long career in the industry and joins the team as project manager for Delaware State University’s new residence hall and dining facility. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and has spent the last decade working on projects ranging from $20 thousand to $300 million in value. Cyrus lives with his wife, Virginia, and two children in Wilmington, DE.

Adam Cathers is the newest business development manager to join the Wohlsen team. He brings 30 years’ experience in the professional services industry to the position. Cathers is the President of the Chester County Commercial Industrial Investment Council, on the Board of Directors for the Chester County Economic Development Council and the Lions Club, Coventry Chapter.  Additionally, he has judged the Associated Builders & Contractors Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter annual awards competition for nearly a decade. Cathers received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University and currently resides in Elverson, PA with his wife, Ann.
