Donna Allie, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Team Clean, Inc., the Philadelphia region's leading independent commercial cleaning company, was recently honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a "Change Driver" as part of the 2016 Most Admired CEO Awards, presented Thursday, December 1st at Philadelphia's Hyatt at the Bellevue.

"The Change Driver Award is a new category for repeat winners of the Philadelphia Business Journal's Most Admired CEO Award," said Craig Ey, Editor-in-Chief of the Philadelphia Business Journal. "The criteria for Most Admired CEOs is different from many other awards programs. We weren't just looking for leaders who are successful on the balance sheet or the P&L over the short term. We're looking for great top leaders who inspire others over the long term. We were looking for a good, solid record of growth and a commitment to people and the community.

"Donna Allie's story of rising from a solopreneur to owning a company with more than 700 employees is truly inspirational," Ey said. "What she has accomplished with Team Clean through hard work and business smarts deserves recognition. Donna is definitely a Most Admired CEO in Philadelphia and beyond."

Allie was recognized for her achievements growing the company she founded in the mid-1980s into one of the largest women-owned, minority-owned businesses in the region, as well as for her continuing efforts in the greater Philadelphia community, both as a mentor and as an active participant in several organizations.

Allie founded the company on a shoestring, and it now serves a variety of clients in government, education, industry, professional offices, and sports and entertainment venues and events. The company employees 700 men and women, providing a full range of commercial cleaning services to clients that have included the School District of Philadelphia, the 2000 Republican National Convention and the 2016 Democrat National Convention, the National Constitution Center, the Pennsylvania Convention Center and other landmark properties and buildings in the region.
