Experienced team of professionals will launch Charter’s entry into the Pittsburgh market and help new neighbors find the perfect home in The Great American Neighborhood

Charter Homes & Neighborhoods unveiled an experienced new team of professionals whose members bring long track records of exceeding the expectations of homebuyers to guide the company’s entrance into the Pittsburgh market.

“This hand-selected team is poised to introduce Charter’s unique approach to reimagining the suburbs for a new era of homebuyers,” said Rob Bowman, President of Charter Homes & Neighborhoods. “Each of them are highly dedicated professionals who have received rave reviews from homebuyers and have won some of the industry’s most prestigious awards.”

Leading the sales team in western Pennsylvania is Wes Hoagland. Hoagland will serve as Director of Sales, overseeing Elmhurst, Woodside, Summit, Whispering Pines, and Charter’s newest neighborhood, Hastings. For the past 11 years, he worked for Ryan Homes in the Pittsburgh region, and since 2013 oversaw a team of sales and marketing representatives. He managed over 40 communities in western Pennsylvania in his previous position.

“Bringing The Great American Neighborhood to western Pennsylvania is one of the most exciting opportunities in the industry,” Hoagland said. “Charter’s passion for creating neighborhoods that are more than just great homes, but offer places for people to connect and share experiences, is perfect for this region.”

Michael Lewandowski, Lindsey Gallagher, Krista Tivo, and Michael Holsinger will serve as neighborhood sales managers. Each have extensive experience in selling new homes throughout the Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, and Baltimore regions. This team of passionate sales professionals will oversee each homebuyer experience throughout Charter’s five neighborhoods spanning the North and South Hills.

Joining Charter as personal builders are Patrick Mulligan, Lane McFarland, Jake Fagnano, and Rich Walsh. They will oversee the homebuilding activities of Charter’s five current neighborhoods in the Pittsburgh region and ensure the company’s continued high homebuyer referral rate by delivering on the elevated standards that homeowners in Charter’s other neighborhoods have come to expect. Both bring years of experience in the homebuilding industry and were chosen for their commitment to excellence and passion for creating places like no other.

Charter Homes & Neighborhoods is dedicated to reimagining the suburbs by creating exquisitely-detailed neighborhoods that shatter the cookie-cutter notion of what new developments should look like. Each neighborhood includes preserved spaces, filled with trees, gathering places and parks, designed to get people outside to enjoy life and to connect with each other. Winding roads, with hand-laid, Belgian-block curbs rise and fall with the land to add character and enhance site lines. Walking trails integrated into the neighborhood encourage neighbors to get out and enjoy nature, or connect over conversation along the path.

Those walks might lead to Crossroads, Charter’s take on the buy local, shop small movement that includes locally-owned businesses within the neighborhood. At its Hastings Neighborhood in South Fayette, Charter is currently in business discussions to select local businesses that will best fit the neighborhood.

The company has several neighborhoods in various stages of approval, totaling more than 1,200 home sites. Charter’s first neighborhood in the Pittsburgh area, Elmhurst, in Sewickley, which opened for sales in August 2015, has only three of 26 homes remaining. The Woodside neighborhood in Cranberry opened in July and already has eight homes sold, while Summit in Mount Lebanon, the only new home neighborhood in the borough, opened for presales in September. Neighborhoods in South Fayette and three other townships are also underway.

“I could not be more pleased with the team we have assembled for western Pennsylvania,” Bowman said. “They’ll lead the way in the suburbs of Pittsburgh to deliver neighborhoods that are a thoughtful alternative to more of the same and will help people live some place special.”
