SPRINGFIELD, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gap International, a global performance consultancy, has launched a new Veterans Business Services division to focus on maximizing veterans’ unique leadership strengths in corporate environments. Retired leaders Army Captain Larry Liss, Lieutenant Colonel Henry Fischer, and Major General Jeff Phillips have been appointed to the division’s advisory board.
Gap International’s Veterans Business Services division was created to help veterans translate proven strengths acquired from military service to business settings. This division will partner with corporations with veteran hiring initiatives, and veteran-owned businesses, to develop veterans into successful business leaders producing exceptional results.
“There is so much untapped potential in the veteran community that, when leveraged to its maximum potential, can cause businesses to produce breakthrough results at an accelerated rate,” says Liss. “With Gap International, veterans will have a new commitment and passion to achieve the exceptional and deliver results that not only benefit their career and personal well-being, but also have the business or corporation succeed.”
Liss, a highly decorated US Army captain, flew more than 650 combat missions as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. After his service, Liss built a number of successful companies. Recently, he has served on the Advisory Board of JDog Junk Removal, a national company that awards franchises exclusively to military veterans and their families. Liss also serves on the Board of Directors of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society.
Henry Fischer, a retired Marine officer who served in the Iraqi combat theater of operations, is a consultant with Gap International and accountable for all aspects of training and development. He has worked extensively with Global 1000 corporations and US government agencies including the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense.
Jeff Phillips, executive director of the Reserve Officers Association, joined the team in September. Phillips served in the Iraqi combat theater of operations and held a number of federal positions, including deputy assistant secretary for public affairs.
“We are honored to have these distinguished military veterans advising our new division,” says Pontish Yeramyan, CEO and Founder of Gap International. “We are helping veterans transition in the corporate setting by maximizing their performance. These men and women learned how to focus, align, and achieve outcomes under any condition. Our breakthrough methodology will expand those skills to deliver exceptional business results and elevate their leadership within any corporate environment.”
