Recovery Centers of America Opens First Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center in Massachusetts

11/6/16

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today,Recovery Centers of America (RCA)opens its newest drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Westminster, which will accept most major insurance plans, and marks RCA’s first center in Massachusetts.

Westminster, a Recovery Centers of America company, formerly the Wachusett Village Inn, will now serve as a specialized, five-star behavioral health treatment facility at the base of the Wachusett Mountain, less than 20 miles from the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge.

Westminster provides the finest inpatient long-term treatment programs for addictions to drugs including opioids, heroin, alcohol, and others, and co-occurring behavioral health disorders such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and bipolar disorder.

“At Westminster, we believe in treating the whole person with customizable programs that address each individual on a clinical and spiritual level through our RCA iPlan,” says Westminster CEO Jack Maroney. “Our location allows patients to reconnect with the beauty of nature while remaining close to home, their families, friends, and support systems.”

When determining the location of its next campus, RCA chose Westminster in response to the state’s alarming rise in opioid- and heroin-related deaths. In 2015 alone, Massachusetts reported 1,531 unintentional overdose deaths.

The center’s unique neighborhood-based treatment model is founded on the latest scientific research indicating sustained recovery is more likely when patients stay connected to loved ones during treatment, while building other, ongoing support networks. The 48 bed in-patient facility provides world-class treatment including detox, inpatient, outpatient, and ongoing support services while offering five-star, hotel-like, residential accommodations. Patients are able to remain in treatment for a full continuum of care, with continued support services available through Westminster and RCA’s other locations, helping patients achieve long-term, meaningful recovery.

The facility at Westminster opens shortly after Recovery Centers of America unveiled its luxury, five-star addiction and behavioral health treatment facility at Bracebridge Hall in Earleville, Maryland – exemplifying the organization’s growth and commitment to advocate for some 22.7 million Americans suffering from behavioral health and substance use disorders.

RCA treatment facilities serve as centers of addiction treatment, spiritual life, and healthy sober living for individuals struggling with substance use disorder. The centers’ dramatic, contemporary environments and five-star living arrangements are designed to eradicate the stigma of addiction, its treatment, and the recovery process.

At Westminster, as with all RCA campuses, patients and their families will enter a lobby more reminiscent of a hotel than any healthcare facility. They are immediately greeted by name and taken to a semi-private room, and have access to the facility’s yoga and fitness studio, year-round pool, farm-to-table dining, and specialized dietary planning amenities. The company also provides black car transportation, intervention, and crisis management services.
