Matthew C. Ponce has been named a senior project manager in the Pittsburgh office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.
In his new position, Mr. Ponce’s responsibilities will include project management and engineering design leadership for aviation projects throughout the Northeast, Midwest, and nationally, with focus on the redevelopment of airfield for the new central terminal at LaGuardia Airport in New York. Additionally, he will support the firm’s local, regional and national leadership in fostering client relationships and developing new clients.
Mr. Ponce has nearly 20 years of experience in design, project management, and construction support for the development of aviation projects. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he spent most of his engineering career with an international engineering firm where he served as a client manager and engineering project manager, primarily for the Cleveland Airport System and the Philadelphia Division of Aviation. For those clients, Mr. Ponce led several teams over the years, managing both multidisciplinary task order contracts as well as large capital improvement airfield development projects.
Mr. Ponce earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and resides in Pittsburgh with his wife and two daughters.
