Local Leaders to Share Perspectives on Successful Investment Strategies
New Jersey mayors will share their investment strategy success stories on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, when NAIOP New Jersey presents, “Obstacles to Opportunities: Local Perspectives on Successful Investment Strategies.” The commercial real estate development association’s seminar will be held from 7:45 to 11 a.m. at The Bloustein School at Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
The event will feature a keynote address by New Jersey Treasurer Ford Scudder, who will discuss the Christie Administration’s budget priorities and challenges. Panel discussion leader George Sowa, CEO of Greater Trenton and former NAIOP NJ president, will be joined by Mayors John McCormac of Woodbridge, Tim Dougherty of Morristown, Dana Redd of Camden and Robert Jackson of Montclair. Topics will include highlights of successful projects; short- and long-term revitalization plans; business attraction and retention strategies; adapting to rapidly changing political landscapes; and thriving in a regional and global economy.
