Appointment of Penn Community Bank VP continues bank’s tradition of community service and support of local United Way
Penn Community Bank, Bucks County’s leading independent, mutual financial organization, is pleased to announce that Vice President Kevin Crawford has joined the Board of Directors of United Way of Bucks County.
“Organizations like United Way of Bucks County have an enormous responsibility to steward their resources for maximum benefit to the communities they serve, and that takes wisdom and experience,” said Penn Community Bank President and CEO Jeane M. Coyle. “There are few members of this community whose wisdom and experience are better suited to helping the United Way than Kevin Crawford.”
Crawford has worked as a banking and financial services professional for more than 38 years, primarily in Bucks County, and also has taught economics at the college level. He has served on many boards of directors of local organizations, including Foundations Community Partnership, and has volunteered many hours for Doylestown Hospital, now Doylestown Health.
“I’m honored for the opportunity to help guide United Way of Bucks County as we work to bring people together for the greater good,” said Crawford. “I am proud, too, to continue to uphold the strong ties between Penn Community Bank and this venerable organization.”
Crawford’s appointment to the board of one of Bucks County’s largest and most effective service organizations is the latest example of the deep bond that exists between Penn Community Bank and the United Way of Bucks County.
Coyle also serves on the organization’s board of directors and recently was honored with its Kelton Service Award for her contributions and leadership.Penn Community Bankalso is one of United Way of Bucks County’s largest donors, holdinga year-round campaign to raise money for the organization each year. That dedication was honored this spring when United Way presented its Community Impact Award to Penn Community Bank. The award honors individuals or groups who help build a stronger community by contributing to more than one of the interdependent areas of education, health and wellness, and financial stability.
Accepting the award on the bank’s behalf was Todd Hurley, Penn Community Bank’s Chief Relationship Officer and Executive Director of the Penn Community Foundation.
“As individuals, we can accomplish only so much,” Hurley said, “but as a collective body, we can accomplish a lot, and the efforts that the United Way leads demonstrate how, working together, we can create a stronger Bucks County.”
