Address headlines Second Annual Membership Meeting of East Orange Property Owners Association

The East Orange Property Owners Association (EOPOA) will host guest speakers Mayor Lester Taylor III and Investors Bank Chief Lending Officer Richard Spengler at its Second Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 13. The keynote address, entitled “State of the City of East Orange: Revitalization Investment Initiatives,” will be held at East Orange Senior Center, located at 90 Halsted St., in East Orange.

Current association members as well as prospective members who are private investors, developers, builders, architects, lenders, law firms, investment brokers and/or related commercial real estate professionals are welcome to attend. Due to limited seating, pre-registration is required.

Spengler, who spearheads lending at Investors Bank, will speak about the institution’s role as an active lender in the East Orange submarket and its charitable foundation efforts to advance the goals of local organizations, including EOPOA, that seek to improve the lives of residents and the communities in which Investors Bank invests. Investors Bank is the largest bank headquartered in the State of New Jersey and has a local branch at the corner of Williams and Prospect streets.

Mayor Taylor will address the important role of the collaborative partnership between the City of East Orange and EOPOA as well as successes to date. In addition, he will discuss future plans and opportunities for the association and local officials to work together to achieve mutually shared goals.

Established in 2015, EOPOA is a consortium of commercial real estate professionals committed to enhancing East Orange’s housing stock by partnering with city officials as well as community-based organizations. The association is dedicated to advancing local revitalization initiatives, which have gained tremendous traction over the past three years, through the repurposing of vacant and abandoned land as well as rehabilitation of underutilized properties.
