Turner Investments, LLC announced today that it has named Stefania A. Perrucci, PhD as Global Head of Fixed Income, a role that carries particular importance as Turner anticipates the launch of a series of fixed income, credit, and absolute return investment strategies. In this newly-created position, Dr. Perrucci serves on Turner's Investment Committee and is a member of the firm's Fixed Income/Credit, Yield/Income, and Absolute Return investment sub-committees.
"Dr. Perrucci's investment acumen and established position as a thought leader on global markets make her uniquely qualified to lead our efforts into the fixed income arena," said Robert Turner, CFA, managing partner and founder of Turner. Prior to joining Turner, Dr. Perrucci was the founder of New Sky Capital where she served as chief investment officer for a macro, fixed income, relative value fund. She was also a fixed income portfolio manager for Morgan Stanley and began her investment career as a senior risk specialist at International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group in 1997. Additionally, Dr. Perrucci has held academic positions at universities in the United Statesand Europe, and she has received more than a dozen awards in recognition of her outstanding academic and teaching achievements.

Dr. Perrucci received an MA in physics and a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Virginia as well as a Laurea summa cum laude from the University of Modena, Italy. Over her 19-year investment career, she has published cutting-edge research on several market topics and is the editor and co-author of "Inflation Sensitive Assets" and "Mortgage and Real Estate Finance" (RiskBooks, 2012 and 2008 respectively). She has also authored several proprietary financial models with one patent awarded and another pending.
