Joining Zelis Healthcare are Charles O. Garner, CFA, as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, and Matthew D. Hintz as Chief Human Resources Officer.
Mr. Garner is a proven senior executive financial and operational leader with more than 20 years of experience in leading high growth public and privately-held healthcare, technology and service businesses.
Prior to joining, Mr. Garner served as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer for MedAssets, Inc., an $800 million healthcare performance improvement company. In that role he led the company's growth strategy, operational improvement strategy and organizational alignment, leading to the $3B sale of the company. He also served as MedAssets’ Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Development.
Prior to MedAssets, Mr. Garner was responsible for strategic planning and corporate development for Coca-Cola Enterprises. Earlier in his career, Mr. Garner was a management consultant with Bain & Company, where he advised technology and service sector clients. Mr. Garner began his career in software design and business development at American Management Systems where he served healthcare and government clients.
Matthew Hintz is a proven senior executive human resources leader with more than 20 years of experience in leading high growth public and privately-held healthcare, technology and service businesses.
Before joining Zelis, Mr. Hintz was the Chief Human Resources Officer for ComplexCare Solutions, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company. At ComplexCare, Mr. Hintz drove organizational structure and business strategy changes which helped generate 35% growth. As a Principal Consultant for HR Venture Solutions, Mr. Hintz delivered strategic advisory services to senior executive leadership teams at early to mid-stage biotech, healthcare, and pharmaceutical firms. Mr. Hintz served as Vice President of Human Resources for Cigna Corporation, where he led staffing, leadership development, training and compensation for more than 4,500 employees and 1,500 consultants and offshore resources. Mr. Hintz helped lead the restructuring and development of Cigna’s Information Technology organization to drive Cigna’s accelerated growth.
