Playworld, a leading commercial playground equipment manufacturer committed to saving outdoor unstructured play, today announced it added four new members to its sales team, reacting to increased demand and an ever-growing line of product offerings.
Jamie Hendrickson will serve as Playworld's play advocate; Josh Myers becomes Eastern Region sales manager; Mike Sears assumes the role of direct sales representative; and Sandra Pereira becomes sales opportunity manager.
"As we continue to design innovative playground equipment and engage more people with meaningful play experiences, it's important to have team members who are truly passionate about our mission to save play and who can seamlessly join our culture," said Kevin Cook, chief sales officer for Playworld. "These four individuals each fit that bill."
Hendrickson has more than 10 years' experience in park and playground design. With a BS in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University's College of Architecture, she has a passion for sustainability, inclusive design and the holistic benefits of play. Hendrickson has had the opportunity to create several unique, memorable spaces that challenge the mind and body alike.
As play advocate, Hendrickson will educate communities about the importance of free, accessible, sensory-rich play and inform landscape designers about trends that keep playgrounds relevant, impactful and engaging.
Myers comes to Playworld from Textron subsidiary Lycoming Engines, where he worked as product strategy manager. He holds an MBA from Hebrew University in Jerusalem and brings a breadth of experience and knowledge in business development, sales, marketing, finance, management and leadership.
Sears brings to Playworld extensive sales experience and knowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry. He served for eight years in the U.S. Air Force prior to commencing a career in sales.
Pereira has more than 18 years of experience in international business. She earned a master's degree in international business from the University in Paris and is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
"The expansion of our team provides us with the opportunity to present our line of products to more people," said Cook. "We're looking forward to continued growth throughout the year and into 2017."
