McKean Defense Group, LLC announced today that Robert Pennoyer has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development.
In this role, Mr. Pennoyer will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of business development activities for the Cabrillo Technologies business unit. This is the most recent investment by McKean to increase market share in the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) arena, following the hire of Mr. Rod Smith, former Deputy Commander and Executive Director of SPAWAR.

Mr. Pennoyer has more than twenty-five years of experience in the federal contracting industry. Over his career, he was responsible for growth in SPAWAR (including PEO C4I) and the SPAWAR Systems Center markets.
He also has a proven track record in financial management, contract management, and market analysis. Mr. Pennoyer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a Certificate in Government Contract Management from San Diego State University.
