Firm’s growing Morristown office adds two project management veterans

Edward Walsh, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the firm’s New Jersey-based Project Management Services group, announced today that project management veterans Lisa Lyng and Brian Veneri have joined the company in New Jersey.

Effective immediately,Lyng becomes a Senior Project Manager at Avison Young.Based in the firm’s Morris town office, she will be responsible for project management activities — from budgeting through project completion — for a variety of ground-up construction projects, interior renovations and capital improvements.

Veneri, who will also be based in the Morristown location, joins the firm as a Project Manager.In this role, he will be responsible for project management and construction management activities on various commercial interior and redevelopment projects.

Lyng brings more than 15 years of real estate, construction and project management experience to Avison Young. Previously, she served as a project manager at Cushman & Wakefield,where she managed various projects, including headquarters relocations, disaster recovery sites and interior build-outs with specialty components.While at Cushman & Wakefield, Lyng represented tenants in upwards of 2 million square feet of interior renovations in New York and New Jersey.

Lyng holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University, as well as a certification in Construction Project Management from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. She also holds a LEED Accredited Professional Interior Design and Construction credential.

Veneri brings to Avison Young significant experience in project management and construction administration for corporate commercial projects. He was previously the Director/Associate of Architecture and Interiors at Kimmerle Group, a Morristown-based A&D firm, as well as served as the firms Operations Manager. Over the course of his career, Veneri has worked on various new headquarters spaces and capital improvement projects for corporate companies across NJ and the US.
