EDWIN WARFIELD: What keeps you interested in Philadelphia?
DENNIS MURRAY: The thing that I like about being in Philadelphia for 25 years is just that Philadelphia has always been family to me and to my business partner. I find that Philadelphia people will go away but they will always come back.
To be in Philadelphia today is really, really exciting. From a business perspective, to see the city change from a very bank- and lawyer-driven city, to the culture changes—credited to Comcast—the city has changed tremendously, and it’s so much more vibrant. The opportunities in Philadelphia are far greater than they were 25 years ago. We’re excited because it’s bringing younger professionals into the city, and their willingness to work in the city gives us a great opportunity to improve our staffing.
