Philadelphia’s La Mega (105.7 FM), the City’s number-one-rated Hispanic station, has been named Station of the Year by Radio Ink, the radio industry’s premier management and marketing magazine.
The award was presented virtually by Deborah Parenti, Publisher, Radio Ink, to Marc Guralnick, Vice President, Regional Manager, La Mega.
“This is a tremendous honor and would not be possible without the amazing and dedicated La Mega listeners across the Greater Philadelphia Region who rely on us for entertainment, news, and information,” said Guralnick. “We are also grateful to Mike Sciore, our CEO and Chairman, our dedicated staff, and our outstanding on-air personalities.”
“While 2020 has been challenging, we have experienced some of the largest ratings in our station’s history, and that only proves that the Spanish-speaking population of the Greater Philadelphia Region relies heavily on La Mega to keep them informed, comforted, and entertained,” added Guralnick. “Our listeners trust us and depend on us – especially during these challenging times.”
La Mega, which broadcasts from 1341 N. Delaware Avenue in Philadelphia, features a mix of Salsa, Latin Pop, Merengue, Bachata, and Reggaeton. The station is also home to the Philadelphia Eagles Spanish broadcast featuring Rickie Ricardo.
La Mega simulcasts its signal in Vineland, NJ (103.3 FM), and Atlantic City, NJ (101.3 FM).
With a commitment to improving the lives of residents across the Greater Philadelphia Region, La Mega raised more than $58,000 for St. Jude’s radiothon this past October. La Mega also hosted a star-studded Safer at Home virtual concert this past August featuring Grupo Mania and Luis Figueroa.
La Mega has been serving its Philadelphia listeners for more than two decades.
