Offit Kurman is pleased to announce today that James A. Landon has joined the firm’s offices in Wilmington, DE. Mr. Landon serves as a principal-level attorney with the firm’s Real Estate Law and Transactions Practice Group.

With a focus on real estate transactions and land use, Mr. Landon represents individuals and privately and publicly held companies in the purchase, sale, leasing, financing and development of real property. He also represents title insurance companies on commercial purchases and refinancing transactions, as well as landlords in landlord/tenant disputes.

Clients turn to Mr. Landon when they need an attorney who has both the legal skills necessary for complex real estate transactions and a background in construction and finance to understand the business aspects of the deal. Mr. Landon’s real estate tax appeals have resulted in $1 million reduction in assessed value.

In 2002, Mr. Landon earned his J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School and M.B.A. from Widener University. He is admitted to practice in Delaware and New Jersey and teaches real estate law as an adjunct faculty member at Delaware Technical Community College. In 2018-19 he was recognized as a Delaware Today® Top Lawyer, Real Estate.
