Charny Karpousis Altieri & Donoian, P.A. partner Michelle Altieri was a featured speaker at the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) 2020 Family Law Symposium, an annual continuing legal education program for attorneys, judges, paralegals and other family law professionals. Presented in cooperation with the NJSBA Family Law Section, this year’s conference included panel discussions and presentations on current matrimonial law issues, including alimony, interstate and intrastate relocation, and the impact of technology on family law. Ms. Altieri, who is a member of the NJSBA and its Family Law Executive Committee, joined a panel of her peers to examine equitable distribution of martial assets and specifically how equitable is not necessarily equal.
Michelle Altieri concentrates her practice in divorce and family law and has focused in this area for twenty years. Her client representation involves diverse issues, including divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence and adoption. She is experienced with all phases of divorce litigation and settlement negotiations, mediations and arbitrations. Ms. Altieri is an active participant of the professional community. In addition to her work with the NJSBA and its Family Law Section Executive Committee, she is a member of the Camden County Bar Association (CCBA). She currently serves on the and was recently named to the CCBA Board of Trustees and its Family Law Committee , a committee on which she serves as co-chair. In addition, Ms. Altieri is a Master in the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inns of Court and serves as the Programming Co-Chair as well as a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties.
