Charny Karpousis Altieri & Donoian, P.A. furthers its community commitment in supporting Collecting for a Cause, Inc. and its mission to assist those in need, whether due to an economic crisis or an illness, by helping to provide essentials for everyday living. From now until December 15th, the firm will be collecting new unwrapped toys, including games, arts & crafts, dolls, Legos and other like gifts appropriate for children from 2 to 15 years old. The collected items will be donated to the organization’s Holiday Shop at Lindenwold High School on December 7, 2019 and also delivered to children at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees the week of December 16th. In addition to toys, Collecting for a Cause is accepting new/gently used gloves, hats and scarves which will be hung on fences at local schools for children who need warm winter gear.
Founded in January 2017 by Mary Castor, Collecting for a Cause, Inc. is committed to providing nutritious food to those who are hungry, to improve the lives of children and to help animals in shelters. Says Castor, “I came up with the name ‘Collecting for a Cause’ because there is always a cause. We are committed to helping these causes in any way that we can. With the help of dedicated volunteers and various churches, local schools, local hospitals, animal shelters and others, we bring family and friends together and as a team make a difference each and every day.” To complement its support of Virtua, Collecting for a Cause collect travel size toiletries for the NICU at Virtua and those who sometimes go to the NICU without warning and are there for long periods of time.
