Global law firm DLA Piper has been named IP & TMT Law Firm of the Year at The Chambers Middle East Awards 2019, making it the third successive TMT legal industry award that the firm has walked away with in the past 12 months and underscoring the firm’s continued strength in the technology, media and telecommunications sector.

Held on 13 November in Dubai, the awards celebrate the accolades of globally revered lawyers and law firms. DLA Piper remains the only firm to be ranked Band 1 by both Chambers Global and Legal 500 for TMT in the Middle East, rankings it has held for the last seven years. The award further cements the firm's premier position in the industry across the Middle East.
DLA Piper's Middle East TMT team is currently advising clients in relation to digital transformation programs across the aviation, hospitality and leisure, entertainment telecoms, retail, financial services, payments and government sectors. The TMT team has progressed with increasing success in recent years; also securing recognition at the Middle East Legal Awards in April 2019 and The Oath Legal Awards in December 2018, where it was also named TMT Law Firm of the Year. The team is shortlisted for the TMT category at the upcoming Oath Legal Awards taking place on 11 December.
