Morais Law, a WBENC-certified, woman-owned law firm specializing in U.S. immigration and nationality law, welcomes its newest attorney Ashley Q. Rotchford, Esq., the newest member of the firm’s growing team. In her role as Junior Partner, she will counsel and partner with clients on a wide range of employment-based immigration matters, both immigrant and non-immigrant.

Ms. Rotchford joins Morais Law following her clerkship for the Hon. Steven J. Polansky, P.J.Cv. at the Camden County Superior Court. A graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law with honors (May 2018), she was a member of the Rubin Public Interest Law Society, a student fellow for the Institute for International Law and Public Policy and an editor for the Temple Law Review while attending school. Ms. Rotchford was also a member of the university’s prestigious Law and Public Policy Program where she wrote a white paper on the legality of visa restrictions and exclusions ~ a white paper she presented at both the Law and Society Association Conference in Mexico City and Intersection of Law and Public Policy 2017 Update at Temple University.

Beyond her studies, Ms. Rotchford was an active advocate for the rights of immigrants while in law school. She was a member of the Student Public Interest Network and Temple’s National Lawyers Guild where she served as co-president and chair of its Immigration and Human Rights Committee. A participant with Temple’s Social Justice Lawyering Clinic, Ms. Rotchford helped create a toolkit for school boards across Pennsylvania to create policies and procedures to deal with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and helped draft a resolution, passed by Philadelphia City Council, recognizing the rights of undocumented restaurant workers. She further honed her skills with immigration holding several internships, including the Philadelphia Immigration Court, a Washington-based nonprofit and a national immigration advocacy non-profit.
