
As we reported last month, in Philadelphia, men occupy 71 percent of tech jobs, and a lack of diversity has been identified as one of the key hurdles to the growth of the city’s innovation economy.
This March at Technical.ly, we’re exploring how hurdles can be and are being knocked down for local women in tech while highlighting technologists who happen to identify as women as part of Women in Tech month of our editorial calendar. That means we’re publishing a bunch of profiles, features on women-led and women-serving organizations and how-tos about, say, bridging that tech job gender gap.
