Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) has opened the first Pittsburgh-region store of a planned nine.

That's a key expansion of regional stores to 14, part of an effort to offer customers more fully-fledged stores rather than service centers for transactional purposes.

The newer stores range up to 4,000 square feet, are centered in more traditional shopping destinations, and provide more demonstrations and information about services and devices.
