Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) is pleased to announce that Stephen Zaleski is joining its Capital Markets group as Chief Investment Officer of the firm’s newly created Multifamily Investment Advisory business. Mr. Zaleski will be leading efforts to advise clients on multifamily acquisitions, asset management and dispositions, working with the firm’s existing partners and developing new relationships to provide equity solutions and sourcing acquisition and recapitalization opportunities.Mr. Zaleski will report to Anthony Orso, NKF’s President of Capital Market Strategies.

Mr. Zaleski has completed over $15 billion in multifamily transactions representing approximately 150,000 units on behalf of 11 institutional funds and various separate accounts.

Mr. Zaleski has 33 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with 30 years specifically in the multifamily sector.Prior to joining NKF, Mr. Zaleski served for 10 years as Senior Managing Director and Head of the Multifamily Group for CBRE Global Investors. After founding the group in 2008, he led the company’s U.S. multifamily development and investment businesses for all of the firm’s funds and separate client accounts, as well as served as a member of the firm’s Americas Leadership Board.
