Industry Honors for Cushman & Wakefield’s Jon Williams

8/28/18

A significant honor for Cushman & Wakefield’s Jon Williams reflects a highly successful year for the 37-year-old leasing specialist. Based in the commercial real estate services firm’s Morristown office, Williams serves as a managing director with Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Advisory Group, representing local, national and international tenants with their occupancy needs. He helps these companies negotiate and transform their workplaces to assist in employee attraction, retention and engagement which revolutionizes the way they do business.

Williams has been named to NJBIZ’s “Forty Under 40,” a recognition of his accomplishments as a rising industry leader. This honor follows an earlier industry accolade, when Williams earned the NAIOP NJ Deal of the Year Award for the successful lease up and eventual sale of The Crossings at Jefferson Park, a corporate campus in Whippany, N.J.

During his nearly 11-year career with Cushman & Wakefield, Williams completed more than 350 leasing transactions with a cumulative value in excess of $2 billion, including 35 deals already completed this year. Among his recent, noteworthy transactions include Acclara Solutions’ lease of 83,000 square feet of space in Houston for the firm’s new headquarters and 39,000 square feet of space for their regional headquarters in suburban Philadelphia. “Jon initially developed a relationship with Acclara about eight years ago, when he helped a prior company with a lease in Parsippany, N.J.,” said Cushman & Wakefield’s Andrew Judd, managing principal and New Jersey market leader. “Williams’ relationship withAcclara Solutions, which provides revenue cycle management to hospitals, health systems, and physician practices, illustrates the depth and reach of his client ties. In addition to Acclara, he has assisted numerous clients from Fortune 500 Companies to Middle Market and Small Businesses.”

“Jon’s successful path leading to this recognition wasn’t an overnight success — instead it reflects yearsofdiligence, perseverance, and dedication to building and nurturing relationships by meeting the needs of clients on both a local, national and international basis,” noted Judd. “Jon’s commitment to helping clients advance their strategic objectives has contributed to his success over the years. Jon is an entrepreneurial broker. He develops his own business and executes it in a manner that reflects the quality clients anticipate from Cushman & Wakefield professionals. We congratulate him on his well-earned recognition.”

Williams credits his success in commercial real estate to a combination of hard work, sacrifice, persistence, patience, trust and the support of his colleagues at Cushman & Wakefield. “We’re in a competitive environment that requires relationships, knowledge and reputation,” he said. “I appreciate the fact that I’m part of a corporate platform and a group of professionals that are established as dominant and successful in this fast-moving industry.”
