We’ll permit readers to assess the relative merits of the arguments presented (to the extent they related to our articles) about GNC (NYSE: GNC), but we believe two aspects of the article require amplification.
China
We’ve presented in prior articles our rationale for our valuation estimates for the China business. We’ve neither seen a cohesive competing valuation model for the business nor an argument for the inaccuracy of our estimates, although we endeavor to present readers with a general range to allow individual assessment of our assumptions and valuations. However, without a tangible alternate methodology, it’s difficult to debate the merits of the valuation.
