JERSEY CITY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ICAP,part of TP ICAP group, the world’s largest interdealer broker, is today pleased to announce that it raised $6.4 million on its 25th annual global Charity Day, held yesterday. ICAP’s North American headquarters, located in Jersey City, NJ, contributed a significant $1.9 million to the company’s total amount raised to a host of charitable organizations.
On Charity Day, 100% of ICAP’s revenues and brokers’ commissions go directly to charities. This year, ICAP supported more than 100 charities globally, having supported more than 2,200 charities since the inception of Charity Day in 1993. This year, more than half of the charities impacted are based in the U.S.
Guests of ICAP’s U.S. Charity Day this year included Sophia Bush, who attended in support of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). She was joined by other celebrity philanthropists including Drew Barrymore, JR Martinez, Wendy Williams, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Tim Tebow.
