As we begin 2017, we want to provide our friends and colleagues with a review of Fairmount Partners’ activity this past year.

Nineteen Deals in 2016

This year has been a busy and successful one in all four of our focus areas, as we have completed deals ranging from $20 million to over $200 million in value. Since repeat business is a strong indication of satisfaction and quality, we are pleased to report that the majority of the transactions below came from past clients; seven were new deals for previous clients, four were referrals from past clients; the balance came from law firms and accounting firms who have worked with Fairmount in the past. We thank them all for their strong and loyal support.

Additions to Our Team

In December, we welcomes Nick Lopez, who joined Fairmount as an Analyst. Prior to joining Fairmount, Mr. Lopez worked as an analyst at a boutique investment bank in New York focused on M&A advisory to middle-market technology and IT Services companies. Mr. Lopez earned his B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics and his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from St. Thomas Aquinas College. During this time, he was a full-scholarship basketball player and Scholar Athlete of the Year for the East Coast Conference two consecutive years.

In August, we welcomed Hannah Nicholson, whojoined Fairmount as an Analyst. Prior to joining Fairmount, Ms. Nicholson worked as an analyst at a London based boutique investment bank focused on capital markets advisory in the natural resources sectors. Ms. Nicholson earned her B.A. in Economics with a minor in East Asian Studies, with Distinction, from McGill University.
