Hollister Construction Services, a leading full-service construction manager specializing in educational, corporate, healthcare, industrial, residential and retail construction, has completed a new 14,400sf recreational facility for Gill St. Bernard’s. Built within the school’s beautiful 208-acre campus in Gladstone, NJ, Gill St. Bernard’s new field house will open its doors to athletes and staff this month, bringing new excitement to the back-to-school season.
“We are thrilled to open this wonderful new facility on our campus. Its completion will allow us to now move ahead with the construction of the new performing arts center,” said Sid Rowell, Head of School at Gill St. Bernard’s School.
Built from a pre-engineered steel structure, the multi-purpose recreational center and gymnasium features bleachers that seat approximately 200 people, a multi-sport practice and game court, new locker rooms with 120 double-height lockers, new bathrooms, and a new fitness and exercise facility. The recreational facility also serves as the main gymnasium for Lower and Middle School students. The project required extensive site-work and landscaping, as well as the installation of all new utility services required to support the new facility.
