Broadpoint Construction announced today it has been selected as the general contractor for the new waterfront apartment community The Residences at River Place located in Seaford, Delaware.   The Residences at River Place will bring 72 apartment units - a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes – along with a community center, pool, and boat docks to the project site which sits along the Nanticoke River in downtown Seaford.

As a leading commercial contractor on the Delmarva Peninsula, Broadpoint was engaged by the project developer to bring this vision to reality.  Broadpoint joins a strong team of project professionals - led by David Perlmutter of developer The Residences at River Place, LLC, the team alsoincludes Fisher Architecture, Parker and Associates, Blake and Vaughn Engineering, MacIntosh Engineering, and ABBA Engineering.

Broadpoint also announced the hiring of two well-regarded industry professionals.  Ryan Mitchell has joined the company as Director of Commercial Project Management.  In this role, Ryan will lead the company’s commercial construction projects and leverage his extensive large-scale project experience to enhance Broadpoint’s commercial capabilities.  Mitchell brings more than a decade of commercial construction project management, estimating and value engineering to the firm, most recently with Nason Construction.

Also joining the company is Gary Harris, an industry veteran project superintendent.   As a Superintendent, Gary will oversee on-site construction activities for major commercial projects for the company.  Harris has more than 25 years of commercial experience, including building numerous hotels and apartment complexes throughout the region.
