Robert Cottone
The Southeastern Pennsylvania American Heart Association (AHA) has announced that IMC Construction President and CEO, Robert Cottone will serve as volunteer chair of the 2016 Philadelphia Heart Walk event, on November 5th at Citizens Bank Park. The Heart Walk is the AHA’s biggest annual event, with a goal of raising $2.4 Million for AHA programs and research.
Cottone will make an appeal to local businesses and community leaders to sponsor and form teams to join the Heart Walk.
“I hope local companies support the Heart Walk to help raise funds for American Heart Association research, but also for the health of their own employees,” said Cottone,
“Heart-health should be a concern to all business leaders. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer and costs employers more than $3 billion annually. It just makes good business sense to support this cause as well as encourage a heart healthy culture at the workplace.”
Cottone brings nearly thirty years of Construction experience to his leadership position. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Community Volunteers In Medicine (CVIM), Chairman of the IMC Charitable Foundation and Board of Trustees at Westtown School.
Companies interested in supporting the Heart Walk with sponsorship or teams should call 215-575-5216 or email philadelphiaheartwalk@heart.org or register online at www.heart.org/phillywalk.
