Co-authored with Rowan University, Project Featured in College Planning & Management’s June Issue
Wright Commissioning, the Philadelphia region’s only independent building commissioning firm, is pleased to announce that an article by Will Wright and Joe Monahan has appeared in the June 2016 issue of College Planning & Management magazine. Monahan is the assistant vice president for Planning & Construction at Rowan University.
Entitled, “Recalibrate, Retune, Rebalance,” the article is part of The Sustainable Campus column and details commissioning steps that led to improved performance in HVAC controls at the University’s Rowan Hall. The authors report that recommissioning older buildings can reduce energy consumption by as much as 40%, affirming that “after two to three years, every building has drifted or changed to the point where a recommissioning effort will result in cost savings and improved comfort and operation.” Read the article here.
