Melissa Weissman and Gordon Ramsay

Things are sure heating up in ConshyGirl Events & Catering Melissa Weissman’s career. The Conshohocken resident is not only enjoying a successful position with well-respected restaurant and ConshyGirls owners Kim Strengari and Marianne Gere, but she is also enjoying her new role on the hit reality television show Hotel Hell with Gordon Ramsay.

Filmed last fall in multiple locations across the country, the FOX series debuted its third season May 24 and is currently on air. The show’s premise is that Ramsay comes in and works with the owners and employees of a struggling hotel to reverse its misfortune. As a member of Ramsay’s staff, Weissman played an integral role as she helped the hotel staff implement Ramsay’s suggestions.

Her position with the show was the first time that she worked with Ramsay however Ramsay has had ties with the “ConshyGirls” for quite some time. In fact, Christina Wilson, who is currently a top executive chef for Ramsay, worked at Gypsy Saloon (one of the “ConshyGirls” four restaurants) as a chef.

It was this relationship that helped Weissman land the job with Ramsay. Wilson reached out to Weissman to see if she would be interested and, as they say, the rest is history.

As of right now there is nothing set for the future, according to Weissman. However, if given the opportunity again she “Doesn't think she’d be able to say no. It's not often that you are given opportunities to work with such knowledgeable and amazing people.”

About Melissa Weissman

Weissman has worked for ConshyGirl owners Marianne Gere and Kim Strengari off and on since Stella Blu opened it's doors.  She has worked in almost every capacity for them, from managing the restaurant to cooking on the line to valet parking cars. Weissman has been back with ConshyGirls in her current position as the Events and Catering Manager for a year and a half.

Her first experience in the kitchen was a year after she started to work at Stella Blu when she decided to stop being the manager and started working in the kitchen. After that year, she stopped and about three years ago she decided she wanted to go back to school to earn her culinary arts degree.
