PHILADELPHIA and LONDON, June 22, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hill International (NYSE:HIL), the global leader in managing construction risk, announced today that Wendy MacLaughlin, MSc, BE (Civil) Hons I, CEng, MICE, a Senior Vice President in the company’s Construction Claims Group, has been named as Co-Head of International Expert Witness Services. She will serve along with Franco Mastrandrea who currently holds the role. MacLaughlin, who was previously responsible for Hill’s construction claims operations in Australia, will operate across the international region and be based in Hill’s London, UK office.
MacLaughlin has more than 20 years of experience in planning, design, scheduling and construction. Her expertise lies in the analysis of delay to engineering and construction projects in addition to serving as a programming expert witness. MacLaughlin has employed critical path method analysis to identify the incidence, extent and causes of critical delay to projects including power plants, pipelines, wharves, roads and railways, process plants and manufacturing projects. She also has experience as a party-appointed expert and she has given evidence to arbitral tribunals in London, Dubai, Stockholm and Australia. Prior to joining Hill in 2012, MacLaughlin was a Partner with the consulting firm Accuracy and before that was a Managing Director with Navigant Consulting. She earned her B.E. in civil engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland, her MSc. in Project Management with Distinction from the University of Reading and her MSc. in Construction Law and Arbitration with Merit from King’s College London. MacLaughlin is a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom, a member of the Society of Construction Law and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
