The new site, made by local digital agency Armor, sketches out what could become of the Reading Viaduct. The abandoned train right-of-way has long captured the imagination of urbanists and explorers. The hope is that the disheveled trackbed becomes the alluring Viaduct Rail Park.
“Phase I of the project is designed, engineered and more than 50% funded towards breaking ground by 2017 with the support of the City of Philadelphia, the William Penn Foundation, The Knight Foundation, the McLean Foundation, SEPTA and through the leadership of the Center City District,” a section of the new site reads.
