Ambu Names Klaas-Pieter Jimmink Marketing Communications Director

Ambu, a rapidly growing medical device maker and pioneer of sterile, single-use endoscopes, announced today that it has named Klaas-Pieter “KP” Jimmink marketing communications director.

Jimmink, a global, digital marketing, ecommerce and digital transformation though leader, will expand Ambu’s digital marketing and e-commerce expertise enabling the company to improve efficiencies and increase sales of its products to clients in USA and Canada.

“Jimmink’s talents and knowledge of digital and e-commerce strategies, technologies and how they can by leveraged to drive awareness, increase customer acquisition and sales velocity takes our business to new levels,” said Jens Kemp, Ambu’s vice president, marketing. “His knowledge of life sciences, the healthcare industry and his digital expertise will help Ambu build even stronger relationships with clients and we continue to expand around the world.”

Jimmink’s joins Ambu from Digital Transformation LLC, of Doylestown, Pa., a consulting firm for the life sciences industry. A principal at the firm since 2015, he coached organizations through the digital business transformation process that gives companies a path to revenue growth and improved operational efficiencies.

Ambu produces and markets diagnostic and life-supporting devices for hospitals and rescue services. Among its most important products are ventilation bags for artificial respiration, visualization devices, training manikins, masks, circuits and single-use electrodes for ECG tests and neurophysiological mappings.

Previously, Jimmink was vice president of Digital Transformation for GN Hearing, a global manufacturer of hearing devices based in Copenhagen, Denmark. During his tenure with GN Hearing, he established the strategic plan for the company’s digital marketing, e-commerce and innovative new business models.

Jimmink earned his Master of Business Administration in 1994 from TSM Business School in Enschede, The Netherlands, and his Master of Science in Biotechnology in 1991 as well as his Master if Administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, The Netherlands.
