Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, PC is pleased to announce that Brian D. Kenney, Counsel in the firm’s Criminal Practice Group, has been named by the Morris County Bar Association as Co-Chair of its Criminal Committee.

“I am delighted to join my fellow lawyers on the bar association’s committees,” added Kenney, “and I look forward to sharing this role with Maggie Calderwood, who is currently the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Chief Assistant Prosecutor, and was a colleague of mine there before I went into private practice.” Last year, Kenney was also selected to the Board of Trustees for the Criminal Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), for a two-year term.

“Brian brings a tremendous level of experience to the Morris County Bar Association’s Criminal Committee,” said Matthew James Troiano, Chair of the Criminal Practice Group at Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, and a former Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor. “As Co-Chair with Maggie, Brian will serve as a link for the bar to the county’s judges and will provide CLE for members of the bar at large.”

Kenney, a former Morris County Assistant Prosecutor, focuses his practice on developing strategies for clients to deal with criminal charges or investigations, handling cases from initial investigation or arrest through trial and appeal if necessary. In addition, he represents clients in Municipal Courts throughout New Jersey.

Kenney received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and his B.A., cum laude, from King’s College. He is a member of the Morris County Bar Association and the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey. Following graduation from law school, Kenney clerked for the Honorable B. Theodore Bozonelis, A.J.S.C. in Morristown. From 2002 to 2005 he served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office; thereafter he practiced criminal defense with Nuzzi & Mason for nearly 8 years. He then returned to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office from 2013 to 2018 as an Assistant Prosecutor.
