Leslie Miller Greenspan

Leslie Miller Greenspan, Esq., – who was recently made Partner at Tucker Law Group – will chair Women Against Abuse’s Board of Directors. The 43-year old non-profit organization is Philadelphia’s leading domestic violence agency, and operates the city’s only emergency shelters for survivors fleeing abusive relationships.

Ms. Greenspan has been on Women Against Abuse’s Board since 2014, and has served as Vice Chair of the Board, as well as Co-Chair of the Events Committee. During Ms. Greenspan’s time on the Board, Women Against Abuse’s annual fundraising event has grown exponentially; the organization made the significant shift to serve survivors of all gender identities and sexual orientations in its residential facilities; and its Legal Center – the only one of its kind with a team of staff attorneys who specialize in providing free representation for domestic violence victims – has tripled in size.

“Community service and board service have always been important in my family, and my parents instilled in me a desire to be involved, to make a difference, and to be a leader,” said Ms. Greenspan. “Domestic violence is everywhere – in every socio-economic class, race, religion, and neighborhood. Women Against Abuse is leading the struggle to end domestic violence. That is no small feat. Women Against Abuse is an incredible organization, and I look forward to helping to make the organization even stronger, even more efficient, and even more far-reaching.”

Ms. Greenspan is an experienced litigator who has handled both civil and criminal cases. Her work focuses primarily on employment discrimination cases, civil rights litigation, and complex commercial disputes. Ms. Greenspan has led trial teams in both state and federal court and has handled all aspects of litigation, including appeals to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and Pennsylvania Superior Court. Local universities and colleges in the Philadelphia area regularly call on Ms. Greenspan to handle complex, high-stakes, or high-profile cases involving employment discrimination, police incidents of excessive force, and student issues. Ms. Greenspan has been selected as a “Rising Star” among Pennsylvania Super Lawyers since 2006. Ms. Greenspan is also a wife and mother of two, as well as a member of the Rodeph Shalom Congregation in Center City Philadelphia.

Ms. Greenspan will be joined by the following newly appointed officers to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors:

Dr. Ana Núñez, FACP, Vice Chair

Dr. Núñez is a Professor of Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology; Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and the Director of the National Center of Excellence in Women's Health and Women's Health Education Program at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.
