NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Volt Information Sciences, Inc. (NYSE-MKT: VISI) announced today that it has appointed Nancy Avedissian as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Volt Information Sciences, Inc. Ms. Avedissian reports to Michael Dean, Volt’s Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining Volt, Ms. Avedissian served as General Counsel and Vice President, Legal Affairs at Worldwide Clinical Trials, where she served as the chief legal advisor to a leading contract research organization, which provides outsourced services to the pharmaceutical industry. Ms. Avedissian led an international legal team and focused on corporate law & governance, commercial transactions, corporate & regulatory compliance, policymaking, and providing counsel to the company’s senior management team and Board of Directors. Prior to Worldwide Clinical Trials, Ms. Avedissian practiced for ten years as a corporate transactional attorney at the international law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, where she primarily concentrated in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, securities and corporate finance, advising the firm’s private and public company clients across multiple industries.
Ms. Avedissian received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine, and her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where she served as Executive Editor of the Loyola Law Review. She is a member of the California bar and a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
